01 / OVERVIEW

Mission-Grade Federal AI Requires More Than a Commercial Model

Federal AI cannot be a black box. Every model must be explainable, every output auditable, every training dataset traceable, and every deployment compliant with FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST AI RMF, OMB M-24-10, and Executive Order 14110. Commercial GenAI offerings — built for marketing teams and consumer apps — were never designed for these constraints.

AGT bridges that gap with federal AI services purpose-built for mission constraints. We deliver production AI on FedRAMP-aligned infrastructure with documented model evaluation, prompt and output logging, human-in-the-loop checkpoints, and Responsible AI controls. Built on our cloud platform and data lakehouse foundations, governed by our cybersecurity practice.

03 / METHODOLOGY
OUR METHODOLOGY

AgentForge™ — Five-Phase Federal AI Delivery Framework

AGT AgentForge

Refined through AGT’s own production DocuAction platform launch and our VA Agentic AI RFI architecture work, AgentForge structures our federal AI services to de-risk adoption by classifying use cases under NIST AI RMF before a single line of code is written.

  1. Discover

Use-case identification, value sizing, data feasibility, and AI risk classification under NIST AI RMF and EO 14110 categories.

  2. Design

Model selection, architecture (RAG, fine-tune, agent), data flow, security boundary, and Responsible AI controls with human-in-the-loop checkpoints.

  3. Prototype

Time-boxed pilot in a sandbox enclave. Evaluation harness with mission-relevant metrics. Demonstrate value or kill the use case early.

  4. Productionize

Move to FedRAMP-aligned environment, complete ATO appendix, integrate with mission systems, stand up MLOps observability.

  5. Govern

Ongoing model monitoring, drift detection, periodic re-evaluation, AI Use Case inventory updates, and Responsible AI audit support.

08 / FAQ
FREQUENTLY ASKED

Artificial Intelligence — Common Questions

Common questions from federal contracting officers and agency CIOs about AGT’s artificial intelligence services.

Do you have a FedRAMP-authorized AI offering?
AGT delivers AI on top of FedRAMP-authorized infrastructure (Azure Government, AWS GovCloud, Azure OpenAI Government). Our reference architectures, ATO appendices, and Responsible AI documentation attach cleanly to your agency’s existing ATO package — we do not require you to inherit a new authorization boundary.
How do you ensure compliance with OMB M-24-10?
Every AGT AI engagement begins with an AI Use Case classification under OMB M-24-10 categories (safety-impacting, rights-impacting, or general). We build the required impact assessments, AI Use Case inventory entries, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints required for rights/safety-impacting use cases. Output: documentation ready for your CAIO submission.
Can you build AI on classified or IL5 environments?
Yes. Our cleared engineers (Public Trust and Secret) have delivered into DoD environments including Air Force, Navy, Army, and Space Force engagements. We design for IL2/IL4/IL5 boundaries with appropriate model selection and data handling.
How do you handle hallucinations for federal use cases?
Every AGT GenAI deployment uses Retrieval-Augmented Generation with citation grounding, structured output validation, and human-in-the-loop review for any decision affecting an individual citizen or service member. We log all prompts, outputs, and source documents for full auditability.
Do you do model fine-tuning or only RAG?
Both. We start with RAG because it is faster, cheaper, and more auditable. We move to LoRA or full fine-tuning only when the use case demands it — typically domain-specific extraction, classification, or style adaptation on a proprietary corpus where RAG cannot meet accuracy targets.
What is DocuAction and is it available to federal agencies?
DocuAction is AGT’s production GenAI document intelligence SaaS — a working example of our AI capabilities. We can deploy DocuAction as a SaaS offering or build agency-specific document intelligence on the same underlying patterns inside your authorization boundary using 8(a) sole-source.
How do you measure AI success beyond accuracy?
Federal AI is judged on mission outcomes, not benchmark scores. Our evaluation harness tracks accuracy and four additional dimensions: explainability (can a human trace any decision), fairness (bias across protected classes), robustness (performance under adversarial input), and operational cost (per-decision cost in production). All five are reported in monthly model health reviews.
What is the typical AGT AI engagement size?
From $250K proof-of-concept engagements (8-12 weeks) through $5M+ multi-year production AI programs. Sweet spot is $500K-$3M for use-case-specific AI builds. 8(a) sole-source up to $4.5M is the fastest path to award for time-sensitive AI work.
